NMN for Age-Related Fatigue: What the Evidence Actually Shows
What is Age-Related Fatigue?
Age-related fatigue is persistent low energy and reduced exercise tolerance that comes with ageing, after excluding anaemia, thyroid issues and depression.
NMN relevance: the published evidence
Liao 2021 in amateur runners and Igarashi 2022 in older men reported small improvements in aerobic capacity or perceived energy. The effects are modest and the trials small. Sleep, iron status and exercise screening should be addressed first.
Questions to ask before supplementing
250-300 mg/day in published trials.
Contraindications and red flags
Persistent fatigue requires medical workup; do not mask it with supplements.
